We are a family owned and operated farm located on eight and
one half acres in Sterling, in the northeast "Quiet Corner" of
Connecticut.
We fell in love with alpacas in 2005 and bought our first animals
from Phyllis and Steve Decker of Alpacas of Maple Lane in
Shushan, New York.
Becky retired in 2006, two weeks before the first cria was born on
the home farm, and Howard semi-retired in 2009, now working
part-time as an engineering consultant.
We knew that we wanted to breed some of the best alpacas and
we feel our purchases and breeding program support that. The
first cria born to us was AML El Duro's Crusader, having bought
his dam while she was pregnant with him, an AML Legacy's El
Duro son . He has won many many show ribbons, predominantly
firsts and seconds, along with several championships. But the real
proof is in his offspring, and they are doing extremely well in the
showring, already winning multiple championships.
Another herdsire we purchased, in 2009, is AML Legacy's Accoyo
Leonardo, a full accoyo Legacy son who has maintained an
incredibly fine fiber even as a six year old, and his offspring too
are the "proof of the pudding", with many championships to their
credit.
We also have a farm store where we carry fleece, yarn, roving and
alpaca products for sale.
Please call us to visit the alpacas and store.
